Looking Forward with Moore College – an invitation to participate with us in our vision
Moore College is proud of its more than 150 years of heritage. While knowing and being grateful for our history is important, we continually strive to serve God and his church better.
Adhering to God’s timeless truth, as conveyed in the Bible, is a foundational and unchanging aspect of the College’s formation and operations. Under that truth, however, the rate of change in important aspects of learning, living and ministry is increasing, including in areas such as:
In the face of such change, the College believes it needs to regularly examine its activities and delivery modes to ensure it continues to effectively serve the church, equipping students for ministry in the 21st century context.
Accordingly, the College’s Board, as part of its governance role, is examining the College’s long-term strategic vision to enable the College to best serve its students and the churches, and to acquit its obligations as a significant tertiary education institution. The Board is encouraging churches, friends and supporters of the College, past students and others with an interest in the College’s future, to participate in this process.
The Board has produced a discussion paper designed to elicit comments and feedback, and you can download it (here). We’d also love to receive specific feedback from church members on some key issues, and a simple (10 minute) survey for that purpose can be accessed (here).
We are grateful to those who are willing to help us to continue to think about preparing men and women for ministry in the contemporary context by participating in this way.
