As Christians, we never stop learning about God and his purposes. As one of the early church’s greatest thinkers once remarked, the Scriptures are both simple enough for a novice to understand and profound enough to engage scholars for the whole of their lives.
Postgraduate study provides an excellent opportunity to explore the treasures of Scripture in more detail, think through various areas of Christian doctrine and their implications more thoroughly, and reflect on the world in which we live from a Christian viewpoint more rigorously.
Our postgraduate program is varied and caters for a range of needs. For those looking for advanced study in theology, we offer a coursework masters degree, our MA (Theol). It is made up of eight units of study designed to deepen your understanding of books of the Bible, issues in theology, and the theory and practice of ministry. Our research masters degree, the MTh, provides the opportunity to extend your grasp of a particular field of study through writing a thesis under the supervision of a member of the faculty. We also have two PhD programs, offered in conjunction with either the University of Sydney and the University of Western Sydney.
