The Rev Dr Richard Gibson

Lectures in New Testament, Early and Reformation Church History and Greek

“One of my main responsibilities is particularly to look after first year students pastorally and that is probably the highlight for me, of any given week”

Richard considers one of his greatest achievements in 15 years of teaching is inducing first years to hold hands and sing White Rose of Athens, along with Nana Moskouri.  He also enjoys being advisor to first years.  All three children, Emma, Matthew and Helen, are old enough to study at University and take the car for days at a time.

Current scholarly interests include the structure of Romans, the value of emotions and a range of Patristic scholars.
