Give Praise to the Lord Appeal
Your generosity will ensure men and women are prepared for a lifetime of gospel ministry, proclaiming Jesus Christ in Sydney, Australia and across the world.
The good news of Jesus is still the very best news you could ever share and it changes lives. There are churches in Sydney with no full-time gospel workers. With so many living in the darkness the need for more workers for the harvest is paramount. Your generous gift will help prepare men and women for a lifetime of gospel ministry, proclaiming Jesus Christ in Sydney, Australia and across the world.
“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Matthew 9:37-38
In a time when people are anxious, confused and uncertain there is no time to waste.
Your support will help students like Tim fill the great need for gospel workers in Sydney churches and beyond.
Tim, and his wife Leanne, were prompted to pursue theological education when their greater Sydney church struggled for years to secure a senior minister. The Cornfords spent time in prayer asking how the Lord could best use them for his glory.
“College has grown in me a great desire to investigate the scriptures, to strive for clarity and consistency as I approach God’s word; but more than that College has gifted me with a capacity for Christian community which I didn’t have before we came here but has been so necessary and so forming.“
Tim, who worked for twenty years as an engineering manager, is due to graduate with a Bachelor of Theology in 2025 and continue his path to ordination in the Anglican church.
Tim Cornford’s prayer as he begun College was that there would be a stirring in people’s hearts, that the Lord of the harvest would inspire more men and women to look at the great gospel need in the world and say “Yes Lord, send us, send us”.
As we head out of College and we head into a church ministry situation, we’re just really hungry and cannot wait to meet the people that will be our church community who we’ll be able to love, and to share our love for God and his word.”
