It is run by a committee of volunteers from the Moorewomen community. Committee Members meet once a term to help program the topics and speakers, run Thursday nights and help run special events. Special Event Assistants help out with planning, set-up, decorations, invitations etc. for events such as Returning Women's Night (Term 3) and Night on the Green (Term 4). A group of women are also needed to help in welcoming new student wives at the beginning of the year. This may involve getting together to share ideas over the holidays, and attending the first year "Kick Off Orientation" in February.I'm interested in being part of Moorewomen Talks: As a committee member Organising special events Organising the 2020 orientation for new student wives Magnolia MagazineMagnolia is an online magazine published twice a year for all women in the Moore College community. It features contributions from students, student wives, faculty members and faculty wives and others. Committee members meet approximately three times a year to plan issues. The committee welcomes members with a broad range of skills and experiences. All you really need to help out is enthusiasm! There are opportunities to brainstorm themes, source writers, write articles and edit stories. We're looking to grow our committee in 2020 so we'd love to have you on board!I'm interested in being part of Magnolia: As a committee member To write an article Junior JiversJunior Jivers is a time of singing and dancing for mums and their young children. Being involved will help you get an idea of how to run a similar group with your church when you leave College. As a helper, you can have a go at leading the singing or reading the story. Junior Jivers in Newtown, meets at 9am on Tuesday mornings.I'm interested in: helping out with Junior Jivers at Newtown helping out with Junior Jivers at Croydon Park helping start a group at Moorewest attending Junior Jivers Hospital VisitingOnce a week from March to November, a roster of women visit the maternity wards at the RPA Hospital to chat to women and give them a gift for their babies (provided by Mothers' Union). Visitors are always needed, and so are people to mind their children.
