The Rev Dr Mark Earngey

Head of Church History and Lecturer in Christian Doctrine.

Qualifications: BSc (UNSW), BD (Moore), MPhil, DPhil (Oxon)

I serve as Head of Church History at Moore College, where I teach Church History, Christian Doctrine, and Anglican Identity and Liturgy. My work brings together a love of the Scriptures and the rich heritage of Christian thought, especially the Reformation. In fact, I have the immense privilege of teaching Moore College’s in-depth and internationally distinctive one-year Reformation course.
I’m married to Tanya, and we have four precious children — Grace, Simeon, Sophia, and Zoe.

Research interests: include ecclesiastical history, historical theology, and systematic theology, with special focus on the European Reformations. Subjects of particular interest include the English Reformation, and especially the history, theology, manuscripts, and marginalia of the period.
