College weekends away provide cohorts the opportunity to be encouraged and enjoy fellowship outside the confines of the classroom and typically before the hustle of the academic year kicks in. Earlier this term, Fourth Year students and their families headed south to a serene spot at Port Hacking and had a wonderful time. Final year student Tony Kong felt encouraged by the time away together:
“Paul Grimmond, Dean of Students at MTC, spoke, in a timely manner, from the book of Titus, where we were reminded of the graciousness of our God, the preciousness of the gospel and the call to live godly lives that accord with the truth we seek to proclaim. We are thankful for Paul and Cathy Grimmond’s wisdom and experiences which they freely shared with us and helped us to think soberly about ministry life and some of the challenges that await us.
A particular focus was time spent in prayer for one another, for the remainder of College and for our prospective ministries after College. It was special to be able to enjoy and deepen those friendships and partnerships that God has blessed us with especially as we near the end of our time here.”
Thank you for keeping the Fourth year cohort in your prayers, especially that they might continue to grow in their capacity to be godly leaders of God’s people and grow in fellowship and partnership with each other this year and into the future.
