David McIntyre

Graduated 2015.

Serving with CMS in Japan, David McIntyre is working to share Jesus in one of the world’s largest unreached people groups. Having grown up there as a missionary kid, returning to Japan wasn’t an easy decision—but the gospel need was undeniable.

With fewer than 1% of the population identifying as Christian, David and his family knew theological training was essential for long-term ministry. His time at Moore College shaped his understanding of the Bible as a whole and equipped him for cross-cultural mission.

Charles Cleworth felt the pull toward ministry early, shaped by discipleship, a ministry traineeship, and deep conviction about the value of theological training. After studying at Moore College, he helped plant Grace City Church—growing from a small group in a lounge room to over 500 people today.

Now on faculty at Moore in the Theology, Philosophy and Ethics department, Charles is preparing to move with his family to Aberdeen to begin a PhD in theological ethics. He’s praying that this next season would grow him in insight and be a blessing to those around him.

While at university, Hugh Jonas developed a passion for international ministry—one that deepened during his time at Moore College and led him to serve in the culturally rich community of Auburn and Newington. Since planting Newington Anglican Church with his team, Hugh has seen God gather a growing and diverse church family. Now outgrowing their community centre space, they’re praying for a new home to keep welcoming more people to hear about Jesus.

Growing up in a Christian home, Martin Kemp understood the gospel from a young age—but it was during university that a deeper conviction set in. As his heart turned more toward ministry than his degree, God redirected his steps toward Moore College and full-time gospel work. Now serving at Waitara Anglican Church on Sydney’s Upper North Shore, Martin leads a growing church with a bold vision: to equip people to shine the light of Christ in a region where faith is fading.

Nick Speyer came to know Jesus through answered prayers about high school maths problems—and that early trust in God grew into a lifetime of gospel ministry. After studying at Moore College and serving in churches across Australia, Nick retired from full-time parish work in Canberra. But retirement didn’t mean stepping back: now in Sydney, he continues to preach, lead Bible studies, and care for older members at Waitara Anglican Church. His story is a reminder that ministry doesn’t stop—it simply changes shape.

Graduated 2023.

After nine years in the Army, Peter Blake felt the weight of eternity while reading 1 Corinthians 7—and knew he could no longer delay the call to ministry. Encouraged by others and equipped through Moore College, Peter traded logistics for gospel work. His training in languages and Bible handling has grounded him in God’s Word, while Moore’s missional focus stirred his heart for the global need for Jesus.
