Through his writing and speaking, Tony has spent many decades seeking to bring biblical thinking to bear on Christian life and ministry. His doctoral research was about how the one-another word ministry of everyday Christians serves a vital theological and moral purpose with Christian communities. His interests outside theology, ethics and writing include golf, most football codes and reading.
Family: Tony is married to Ali. They have five adult children (Gemma, Chloe, Miri, Luke and Nick), and nine (soon to be ten) grandchildren.
Research interests: the place and use of the Bible in moral deliberation, the nature of Christian communities and congregations, and the theological ethics of word ministry in all its forms.
