In celebration of Mission Awareness Week, the Library ran a competition for students to create a cross-cultural ministry resource. This is the winning entry in the Children’s Ministry Resource category. A simple children’s song accompanied by guitar, teaching and encouraging kids to share the gospel, or ‘talk about Jesus’. Anderson gives examples of situations/places and people that kids can talk about Jesus with.
Lyrics:
You can talk about Jesus with anyone
You can talk about Jesus with anyone
It might be really scary, butit might be fun
You can talk about Jesus withanyone
Boys: What if I’m at home?
Girls: You can tell anyone around
Boys: What if I’m away?
Girls: You can tell the good news you’ve found
Boys: What if I start now?
Girls: You can tell someone today
Together: Most importantly, God gives you the words to say
You can talk about Jesus with anyone
You can talk about Jesus with anyone
It might be really scary, butit might be fun
You can talk about Jesus with anyone
Girls: What if they’re “different”?
Boys: You can tell them, too
Girls: What if they’re like me?
Boys: You know what to do!
Girls: What if I start now?
Boys: You can tell someone today
Together: Most importantly, God gives you the words to say
You can talk about Jesus with anyone
You can talk about Jesus with anyone
It might be really scary, but it might be fun
You can talk about Jesus with anyone
Leader: What if they’re my sibling’s daughter?
All: You can tell your niece
Leader: What if I get arrested?
All: You can tell all the police…
You can talk about Jesus to anyone
You can talk about Jesus to anyone
It might be really scary, but it might be fun
You can talk about Jesus to anyone
