About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Tradesperson to join our Property team on a permanent full-time basis (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday).
In this role, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for maintaining properties affiliated with Moore College to a high quality and standard, including:
- receiving maintenance requests;
- carrying out works safely, according to priority and urgency, and in compliance with building standards;
- working alongside and, when required, providing oversight of apprentices and contractors;
- communicating with affected people in relation to a job;
- undertaking a range of works including refurbishing accommodation and ground duties
About you
The successful candidate will meet the following essential selection criteria:
- Strong experience in the building industry or similar
- Trade Certificate (Certificate III or above) relevant to the Building Industry
- General Construction Induction Card (White card)
- Current NSW driver licence
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Good communication skills
- Sound computer literacy skills e.g. Microsoft Office
- Ability to support and promote the Christian Vision, Mission and Values of Moore Theological College
It is desirable that you also have:
- Trades / Building / Maintenance experience in a residential college, aged care setting, hospital, school, government department or similar
