The Rev Dr Mark Earngey

Head of Church History
Church History and Christian Doctrine

Qualifications: BSc (UNSW), BD (Moore), MPhil, DPhil (Oxon)

Mark is married to Tanya, and they have four children: Grace, Simeon, Sophia and Zoe. We all enjoy swimming at the beach, and visiting our family in the country. When Tanya and Mark have a spare moment we like to compete over scrabble or relax over movies. We all worship with the saints at St. Paul’s Anglican church in Canterbury. Mark also serves as the executive editor of the Australian Church Record.

Research interests: include ecclesiastical history, historical theology, and systematic theology, with special focus on the European Reformations. Subjects of particular interest include the English Reformation, and especially the history, theology, manuscripts, and marginalia of the period.
