Single Students
The 2025 Residential Rental rate is $389 per week (includes rent, meals, utilities and internet) for single students accommodated at John Chapman House or other Moore College properties. Appointments are required to collect keys from the Concierge Desk and payment of the following will be required at that time:
- Deposit for keys: $40
- Room bond: $250
Single Students are charged the standard weekly rate during term time (which is inclusive of accommodation, meals, internet and utilities) and varied amounts during vacation, depending on occupancy and meals consumed. Meals are not offered over the Summer vacation.
Married Students
Rental rates vary with the type of accommodation. The majority of college housing are 2 bedroom units or townhouses located at Newtown, Croydon Park or Parramatta. Rental Charges range between $350 – $650 across the 3 locations. Other one off charges include:
- Security Cleaning Fee: $250
- Pet Bond (with application): $250
Married Students are charged rent for the whole year including vacation periods. Rental amounts vary, according to location, number of bedrooms and other attributes.
Payment Process
Accommodation charges for both married and single students are applied weekly, and bank accounts are charged fortnightly where Direct Debit is set up.
Students can also choose to pay via BPAY, Direct Transfer or EFTPOS/Credit Card at the Concierge Desk.
If students choose to pay via cash, they need to make an appointment with the Finance team. Cash is not accepted at the Concierge Desk.
Single students are sent their account statement at the end of each vacation period to pay via direct deposit or BPAY. Amounts owing for vacation periods are not automatically deducted. All accommodation fees must be paid in full upon exiting college accommodation.
