Moore College Mission 2021

Moore College Mission 2021

March 19, 2021 by Ben George

After the Covid pandemic and the creativity of Moore College Mission Re-imagined in 2020, this year students will be partnering with churches and organisations once again. This year, groups will go to Armidale, Maitland, Naremburn-Cammeray, Emu Plains, South Sydney, Asquith, Normanhurst, Oatley, Church at the Peak, Liverpool South, St Andrew’s Cathedral School, and Evangelism and New Churches (ENC).

Moore College mission is a central aspect of College life, where faculty, chaplains and students partner with Christian communities in preaching the gospel through varied means. This is an integral component of the theological education offered here at the College, providing students with different models of theory and practice working together in a plethora of contexts. Not only do we want students to adorn the Lord Jesus by proclaiming his life-giving crucifixion and resurrection, but we want students to be part of this message to go out to a world desperately in need of the comfort that only Jesus brings.

Of course, this has a two-fold impact in giving expression to the partnership and support that Moore College has with various Christian ministries throughout the world, but is also a wonderful platform to help our students train, practice and reflect on various models of ministry, as they are exposed to numerous ministry models in ministry contexts.

Over the week, starting on Sunday 21 March, we will be posting blogs, photos, videos and prayer points from each of the mission groups, as they let us know what they have been doing in their various locations. This is an opportunity for you to see students in training, as well as pray for the teams and the ministry partners they are partnering with on mission for the week.
