Sydney Rare Book Week

Sydney Rare Book Week (25-29 October 2021) was a celebration of special collections in Sydney libraries organised by the State Library of NSW. ‘The Sydney Harbour Bridge: an Australian icon’ featured historical collections relating to the Bridge, its construction and its place in Australian history. The Donald Robinson Library’s collection of photographs taken by the Rev Frank Cash, Rector of Christ Church Lavender Bay, is used to illustrate the effect of the Bridge on the local community, particularly the destruction of houses in Milson’s Point (approx. 00:16:11 – 00:22:18)
