Prayer

Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

Prayer Points

Moore College knows the importance and imperative of prayer to God’s work at the college.

The College has a number of ongoing ways by which prayer and praise points are circulated for prayer supporters to use for their individual or group prayers, including through PrayerMate.

A Quarterly Prayer Bulletin publication is produced which you can receive by mail or email.

Pray with us

Women Praying for Moore

The Prayer Support Group is a group of women from all over Sydney that meets together to pray for the needs of the College, its faculty, students and staff.  We are always looking for new women to join us as we express our dependence on God for all things. It is a joy to hear about how God is working in the lives of our students and their families and to find out firsthand how we can best pray for college and its faculty, students and staff. See when the next Prayer Support Group is on.

Men’s Prayer Breakfasts

Twice a year, Moore College also runs a prayer breakfast for men. It is an opportunity to fellowship over breakfast, hear from a speaker, and pray for the needs for the College. We want to invite all men to come along and pray for the faculty, students and staff. See when the next Men’s Prayer Breakfast is on.

September Prayer Points
1 September 25Praise God for the opportunity to celebrate Moore College Sunday throughout the August and invite parishes to partner with the College in prayer. Give thanks for all those who faithfully pray for the College and ask that God would raise up more people to be praying for the College regularly.
2 September 25Research Week (1-5 Sept): Pray that our students would be disciplined and productive as they finish assignments and assessments during this non-teaching Research Week.
3 September 25Give thanks for the Staff & Faculty chapel service happening today. Give thanks for the opportunity to have to come together, be encouraged and worship God. Pray that it will be a time of great encouragement.
4 September 25Cassandra & Tim van den Bosch (1st Year, p15): Give thanks for my recent marriage (during winter break) to Tim, and that we’re settling into our new home. Please pray for us as we figure out rhythms of life, and that we would grow together to love Christ more.
5 September 25John Brackenbury (1st Year, p11): Give thanks for a smooth transition into community life, both at College and at a new church – the Lord has provided generously for me. Pray that I’d grow to know and trust him more truly and deeply as I study.
6 September 25Spring Break (6-14 Sept): Pray that this time of break from normal College routines would be refreshing and helpful for the students and Faculty. Pray for safety as people travel to be with family and friends.
