Moore College knows the importance and imperative of prayer to God’s work at the college.

The College has a number of ongoing ways by which prayer and praise points are circulated for prayer supporters to use for their individual or group prayers, including through PrayerMate.

Women Praying for Moore

The Prayer Support Group is a group of women from all over Sydney that meets together to pray for the needs of the College, its faculty, students and staff.  We are always looking for new women to join us as we express our dependence on God for all things. It is a joy to hear about how God is working in the lives of our students and their families and to find out firsthand how we can best pray for college and its faculty, students and staff. Men’s Prayer Breakfasts

Twice a year, Moore College also runs a prayer breakfast for men. It is an opportunity to fellowship over breakfast, hear from a speaker, and pray for the needs for the College. We want to invite all men to come along and pray for the faculty, students and staff. See when the next Men’s Prayer Breakfast is on.

1 Feb 2025Simon & Angelina Sheely (Bachelor of Divinity, P43). Unichurch—UNSW. Pray for the transition as we go from studying together to doing ministry together. Pray for wisdom and patience, and that our home can be one where we show hospitality and love to those around us.
2 Feb 2025Jonathan Tan. Adam Road Presbyterian Church, Singapore. Thank God for helping us adjust to ministry life in Singapore after being away for four years. Pray for wisdom as we look to serve Him cross-culturally in 2025/6.
3 Feb 2025Give thanks for the Priscilla & Aquila conference happening today. Pray for Paul Grimmond and Claire Smith as they present throughout the day on the topic ‘Is Godliness Complementarian?’.
4 Feb 2025Please pray that Orientation Week, starting today, would be a useful time for all incoming students and that it will provide good opportunities to get to know other students and their families.
5 Feb 2025Zaneta Neal (Bachelor of Divinity, P42). CMS. Thank God for the training opportunity at CMS St Andrew’s Hall. Pray that God would reveal direction for future ministry in Japan. Thank God for the generosity of many people who are helping us think through next steps.
6 Feb 2025Rachel Chan (Bachelor of Theology, P31). Assistant Minister, North-West Sydney. Thank God for the provision of a job and an exciting ministry to join. Pray for wisdom in adapting to a new church, teamwork, and implementing what I have learned at College.
7 Feb 2025Joel Mailei (Bachelor of Divinity, P42). Assistant Pastor at The Bridge Church. Pray for humility and wisdom as I enter into a new role as Director of Evangelism.
8 Feb 2025Give thanks for the appointment of Tony Payne as Lecturer in Christian Thought (Ethics) and the Director of the Centre for Christian Living. Pray for Tony as he balances the new roles and settles in.
9 Feb 2025Cooper Rispin (Advanced Diploma, P14). Assistant Minister at Gateway Presbyterian Church, Anna Bay. Pray for diligence as I continue training after College, specifically in chaplaincy and pastoral care. Pray that I would remain diligent and prayerful under God’s Word post-College.
10 Feb 2025Pray that the students would learn a lot from the Intensive classes that are happening this week. Pray for the Faculty who are delivering them, that they would communicate and teach clearly.
11 Feb 2025Lucy Langfield (Bachelor of Theology, P33). Pastoral Staff at Hunter Bible Church. Praise God for the opportunity to join the pastoral team at Hunter Bible Church. Pray that my ministry would be marked by a dependence on God’s Word, reliance on Him in prayer, and a demonstration of His love for His people.
12 Feb 2025Daniel Chew (Bachelor of Divinity, P41). AFES at the University of Western Australia, Perth. Thank God for UWA Christian Union’s legacy and faithfulness over many years. Pray for humility and wisdom in my new team role.
13 Feb 2025James Russell (Bachelor of Divinity, P43). Assistant Minister at St John’s Sutherland. Give thanks for the warmth and kindness of the people in the St. John’s community. Pray for growth in maturity and faith among the young adults as I pastor them. Pray for the church’s spiritual growth and a vibrant youth and children’s ministry.
14 Feb 2025Maddie Akankunda (Bachelor of Theology, P31). Narrabri Anglican Church. Thank God for the opportunity to serve His people in Narrabri. Pray that we would grow to love the people in the church as we share the love of Christ and our lives with them.
15 Feb 2025Mark Chen (Bachelor of Divinity). Chinese Pastor at St Basil’s Anglican, Artarmon. Pray for ministry among Cantonese and Mandarin congregations, as I continue to get to know those at the church. Pray for the gospel to be shared faithfully at the kids’ program I will be a part of.
16 Feb 2025Gaby Lewis (Advanced Diploma, P18). High school teacher and motherhood. Pray for God’s guidance and continued trust in Him as we enter a very different stage of life, and for wisdom in navigating a mission focus wherever God places us.
17 Feb 2025Give thanks for the start of classes for the College year and for the opportunity that the College has to come together for a Lord’s Supper service to mark the start of the year.
18 Feb 2025Lauren Dewhurst (Bachelor of Theology, P31). Children’s Minister at Christ Church St Ives. Thank God for the opportunity to do ministry at St Ives. Please pray that I will have a love for gospel co-workers in the ministry team. Pray that the children would grow in their faith and love of Jesus and cling to Him in all things.
19 Feb 2025Give thanks for the opportunity to celebrate the graduating students of 2024 at the College Graduation ceremony next month. Pray for those preparing the event and speaker Simon Gillham as he finalizes his address for the graduation.
20 Feb 2025Sheina Chen (Advanced Diploma, P11). AFES—Campus Bible Study, UNSW. Thank God for the faithfulness and perseverance of the current Campus Bible Study staff. Pray that the gospel would bear much fruit in UNSW students. Pray for Alex and my role at Bossley Park Anglican, that we would be an encouragement to the saints there.
21 Feb 2025Garth Rossler (Advanced Diploma, P18). Secular work with investment markets. Studying at Moore with my daughter Caitlin has been a privilege. Please pray that God would guide me as to how I can use what I have learned at Moore in serving Him in new ways in the Christian community, whether that be business or ministry-related.
22 Feb 2025Pray for the graduates of College being ordained to serve the churches in Sydney today. Please pray for the new ordinands, that they would serve with faithfulness, humility, and courage.
23 Feb 2025Pray for Gaurav Taneja, our head chef, and the kitchen staff as they begin to serve daily meals to the whole student body. Give thanks for their commitment to the welfare of the students.
24 Feb 2025Melanie Sheath (Advanced Diploma, P18). Lay ministry. Praise God for the gift of this season of studying His Word. Pray that the Lord would continue to grow my picture of who He is. Pray for direction in how to serve at EV Church and how best to use time outside of paid work to serve God’s people.
25 Feb 2025Matt Capel (Bachelor of Divinity, P41). Youth & Evening Minister at Wahroonga Anglican. Pray for humility as I learn how to take on new responsibilities and faithfulness as I grow in faith and love. Pray that I would be a good team player as I get along with the other staff.
26 Feb 2025Lachlan Neal (Bachelor of Divinity, P42). CMS—Study at St Andrew’s Hall. Praise God for the opportunity to train at St. Andrew’s Hall. Pray for direction and wisdom as we prepare for ministry in Japan and for deepening partnerships with those who are sending us.
27 Feb 2025Pray that as our students study the Word of God and seek to proclaim it to others, it will have an impact on their lives. Pray that they will continue to grow in their knowledge and love of Him.
28 Feb 2025Peter Chan (Bachelor of Divinity, P41). Assistant Minister at St. Paul’s Kogarah. Pray that our family will transition well to this church ministry and community. Pray that we will adjust well to serving in a bilingual context, and that we would be humble, wise, and eager as we serve.
